Language Arts:
Mia - halfway through Theme 2
Sarah - two stories into Theme 9
Sarah and Mia - started practicing proper formation of letters
Mia - wrote a story (Three sentences, no end. LOL)

All kids - learned colors in Japanese
Listened to basic phrases in Portuguese, counting to ten in French, German, Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish

Math:
Sarah - tally marks, counting change to $2.00
Mia- began learning to count change, addition, proper formation of numerals
Sarah - reviewed greater/less; reviewed counting by 5s and 10s

Social Studies:
Sarah and Mia - What is archaeology? Nomads, Fertile Crescent, beginning of agriculture
Sarah and Mia - learned about Japanese clothing
Sarah - learned about US farms, pesticides, horse and plow

Science:
Sarah - the Solar System, the sun, stars, the planets, Pluto, formation of Earth, orbits, gravity, nebulae, asteroids, comets, magnetic fields
Sarah and Mia - what are molecules?

Art/Music:
Lots of drawing
Sarah and Mia - learned about origami
Adam and Aaden - shapes, colors

Physical Education:
They're always upside down, does that count for anything?
